The Employee Retention Credit and Your Business

Posted by Shawn Marchant in Blog, R&D, on

Businesses and organizations have a new option to retain employees during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Employee Retention Credit (“ERC”), part of the 2020 CARES Act, is a refundable tax credit that can total up to $5,000 per employee and can be applied against certain employment taxes.

The credit is based on qualified wages paid between March 13, 2020 and December 31, 2020.

To find out if the ERC can help your organization and to apply for it, visit this new Tanner webpage.
