About Steve
Steve brings nearly 13 years of public accounting experience to Tanner, serving clients across the technology, manufacturing, and life sciences industries. Known for his practical insights and technical strength, Steve advises companies on federal and state income tax compliance, M&A transactions, and international tax matters. His primary focus is corporate tax and accounting for income taxes under ASC 740, supporting clients that range from large public companies to fast-growing private businesses.
Over the course of his career, Steve has worked with innovative companies including Qualtrics, Solutionreach, Podium, ObservePoint, SaltStack, Finicity, and MultiLing. Before joining Tanner, he spent more than eight years in the biotechnology and healthcare sectors, providing him with a well-rounded perspective that benefits clients navigating growth and complexity.
Steve earned a Bachelor of Science in Molecular Biology from Brigham Young University and a Master of Accounting with a tax emphasis from the University of Utah. He is a licensed CPA and an active member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Utah Association of Certified Public Accountants.
