About Matt
As Tanner’s Chief Information Officer, Matt brings over 24 years of experience in information technology and security. He serves as one of our IT engagement technical leads, providing hands-on technical consulting and execution across SOC, HITRUST, ISO, NIST, and other IT and security frameworks.
Matt has a broad range of expertise in IT systems and best practices, including infrastructure planning, system and security architecture, virtualization and hyper-convergence, network and email systems, data storage, policy and compliance, business continuity and disaster recovery, and cloud computing.
In addition to overseeing Tanner’s internal IT strategy, Matt plays a key role in our security and compliance consulting services, ensuring organizations meet rigorous regulatory requirements while optimizing their technology environments.
He holds a bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Computer Science, and Sales and Service Technologies, and a master’s degree in Cybersecurity and Information Assurance. Matt is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) and holds several other industry-recognized certifications, including ISSAP, CCSP, CISA, CEH, and CHFI.
