About Garrett
With more than 16 years of public accounting experience, Garrett specializes in complex partnership taxation and serves clients across a variety of industries, including real estate, construction, and closely held businesses, as well as high-net-worth individuals. His experience includes partnership tax consulting and compliance, multistate taxation, tax due diligence, acquisitions, and ownership transitions for privately held companies. Prior to joining Tanner, he held tax leadership roles with two of the nation’s largest middle-market accounting firms, RSM and Eide Bailly, where he advanced to Senior Manager.
Recognized for his technical expertise in partnership taxation, Garrett has extensive experience advising clients on complex ownership structures, income allocations, business transactions, and challenging tax compliance matters. He is skilled at translating complicated tax concepts into practical guidance that business owners, management teams, and other stakeholders can understand and act upon.
Garrett enjoys partnering closely with business owners and management teams to identify tax-saving opportunities, manage risk, and develop proactive tax planning strategies that support long-term business objectives. His collaborative approach and practical perspective help clients navigate both day-to-day tax matters and significant business events with confidence.
Garrett earned both a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and a Master of Taxation from Arizona State University.
