About Doug
Doug Hansen has served many types of clients since joining the firm over 30 years ago, including manufacturing, distribution, retail, service, ESOP-owned companies, employee benefit plans, education, not-for-profit, and others. A focus area for Doug throughout his career has been on serving not-for-profit organizations, and he has been instrumental in helping the firm build a substantial practice in that focus area. As an audit partner, he is the firm’s leader of the Not-for-Profit and Education Practice, which provides audit, tax, accounting, advisory, IT security, and other services to a significant number of organizations of all types.
Doug has taught numerous classes over the years and has served in key industry leadership roles, including chairing the UACPA’s Nonprofit Committee and contributing for five years as a member of Allinial Global’s National Nonprofit Committee. He currently serves on the Executive Committee of the Board of Directors of the Community Foundation of Utah.
He is a member of the AICPA (Not-for-Profit Section) and the Utah Association of CPAs. Doug graduated from Utah State University. When he’s not serving clients, you’ll find him snow skiing, boating, playing pickleball, hiking, taking road trips, or spending time with family and friends.
