About Darin
Darin serves as Tanner’s Director of Quality Management and Director of Professional Development, where he guides the firm’s audit quality standards and leads training efforts that strengthen team capabilities across the board. He is a go-to advisor on complex accounting and auditing matters and frequently consults with partners and teams on technical issues.
With more than 25 years of audit experience, Darin has led engagements for a wide range of private and public companies and remains actively involved in advancing the profession. He currently chairs the learning and development committee for Allinial Global, one of the world’s largest networks of independent accounting firms.
Darin holds a master’s degree from the University of Utah and is a member of both the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Utah Association of Certified Public Accountants.
Outside of work, Darin is a passionate University of Utah sports fan—though family loyalty is divided with sons who are proud Cougars, Thunderbirds, and Pilgrims. He enjoys gardening, fishing, and exploring historic sites across the country. When it’s time to unwind, you’ll find him watching the latest action movie.
