About Dan
Dan Griffiths helps organizations navigate defining moments, bringing more than two decades of experience as an advisor, operator, and executive leader. He works closely with founders, CEOs, and leadership teams to clarify strategy, align organizations, and execute through periods of growth, transition, and transformation. His expertise spans strategic planning, mergers and acquisitions, exit planning, leadership development, and organizational design, with a focus on helping companies move from vision to measurable results.
Dan brings a rare perspective shaped by both consulting and executive leadership. He previously served as a Tanner Partner, where he built and led the firm’s management consulting services and facilitated more than 75 executive and board-level strategy sessions annually, guiding organizations through succession planning, ownership transitions, and strategic inflection points. He later stepped away to serve as President and CEO of Lume Deodorant, leading the company through rapid scaling, national retail expansion, and a successful nine-figure transaction. Earlier in his career, he also served as CFO of a private equity investment firm, gaining firsthand experience in financial leadership, investment strategy, and operational execution. He has since returned to Tanner, bringing with him the perspective of both a trusted advisor and an experienced operator who has led from inside the business.
Dan earned both his Bachelor of Science and Master of Accountancy from Brigham Young University. He has been actively involved in advancing leadership within the profession through national committees, board service, and leadership academies and served as a member of the board of directors for the American Institute of CPAs from 2017 to 2020.
Outside of work, Dan can usually be found standing in a river with a fly rod, planning the family’s next adventure, or finding any excuse to be outdoors. He and his wife are the proud parents of four kids and spends much of his free time keeping up with the energy and activity that comes with a busy family.
