Tanner LC becomes strategic sponsor for the MountainWest Capital Network.

The MountainWest Capital Network is Utah's first and largest business networking organization devoted to supporting entrepreneurial success. We do it in three ways:

- Fostering the dynamic flow of information about capital formation and distribution.

- Educating and mentoring excellence.

- Recognizing and rewarding performance.

We have renewed our role for 2009 as a strategic sponsor of the MountainWest Capital Network (MWCN).

David Sperry, Tax Partner for Tanner LC, is a board member of MWCN. Reed Chase, Audit Manager for Tanner LC is an officer for the MWCN and the Chair of the Deal Flow Committee.

One of MWCN's key contributions to the Utah business community is the Deal Flow program.  MWCN tracks and reports venture capital and private equity financing transactions, mergers and acquisitions, and public financing transactions of Utah based companies.  The Deal Flow program promotes Utah as a great place to invest and to build a company.  It also recognizes companies and their advisors for their significant accomplishments in closing the deals that feed the Utah economy.

Tanner LC is the accounting firm that Utah companies turn to when it is time to do a deal.  Tanner LC was recognized as the accounting firm on 21 out of 131 total deals reported in the 2007 deal flow book.  The next closest firm was recognized on seven deals.
