During the week of October 23 - 30, Tanner held a clothing drive for the Big Brothers Big Sisters Program. Tanner team members generously responded by bringing in over 1,300 pounds of clothing, resulting in the 2nd largest corporate clothing drive, EVER in the history of Big Brothers Big Sisters in Utah. 


Big Brothers Big Sisters of Utah funds approximately 25% of their activities from their household recycling program. They take the gently used and reusable goods and sell them to Savers stores along the Wasatch Front.

This year’s Fall season of Tanner Football Club Soccer has come to an end. Although it was a rough season with a record of 2-0-10, our team pulled off a fantastic final game win in the consolation playoff bracket.  In the last game, Tanner LC, thanks to Tim B’s three goals, was ahead until the final seconds of the game, until the opposint team scored and leveled score at 4 goals each. In a nail-biting shoot-out the hero of the match, Scott R., scored the only and winning penalty kick, while stopping all five of the opposing team’s penalty shots as goalkeeper.

Thanks to all the Tanner team members who came out and got some exercise and played with us this season. They included: Bryan J., David G., Jake D., James H., Jeff H., Kyle G., Nic B., Quade R., Scott R., Tim B. and Toby P.

We are excited to announce that Thomas Lund has joined Tanner as our Director of Practice Development & Recruiting.  Tom comes to us with a rich background of business development and recruiting experience as a large financial institution’s VP of Commercial Banking Office of the President, and a Salt Lake City office of an international accounting firm as their Director of Business Development.  His passion for quality, depth of experience and significant presence in the Utah marketplace will serve Tanner well, as he directs our practice development and recruiting efforts.

We are very excited to have Tom as a member of our GREAT! team!

Kathryn will begin her career at Tanner in our audit practice. Kathryn graduated from Utah State University. She was born and raised in Utah. She enjoys boating, watching movies, and spending time with family and friends. She has a white Pomeranian named Hurly, after the character on LOST, which is her favorite show.

We are very excited to have Kathryn and we welcome her to our team!

Congratulations go out to Shelly O. for passing the CPA exam! This is a great accomplishment, and it is nice to have another CPA at Tanner! Great work Shelly!

Greg recentely completed all parts of the CPA exam and is preparing his application to become licensed as a CPA. We congratulate Greg on this significant accomplishment! Good job Greg!

Adam will begin his career at Tanner in our audit practice. Adam graduated from the University of Utah. He is from Utah and is a huge Utah Jazz and Ute fan. He is very interested in basketball and loves to play. He is a “major buyer and seller” on EBAY and has been so successful, it put him through the last year of school. He has been married to his wife, Angie, for 2 1/2 years. Angie just finished her nursing degree.

We are excited to have Adam on the Tanner Team!

James returns from completing his education at Utah State University and will re-engage with us here in our audit practice. He is from Logan, Utah. James enjoys anything athletic, hiking, running, soccer, etc. If he is not good at it, he will give it his best try to have fun with it. He enjoys working outside and seeing the projects that he starts, being completed! He is married to Karen and they have a one-year old daughter. His greatest achievement in life so far is finishing school and he looks forward to many more achievements to come. His favorite quote is, “You only have to do a very few things right in your life so long as you don’t do too many things wrong”.

 We are glad to have James back in the office!
